1. Stop Ignoring the "Small" Noises

That faint whining sound from your CVT? That "tok-tok" sound when you go over a bump? Resolution: Address them now.

  • Whining: Often means a bearing is worn. Fixing it early is cheap. Waiting until it breaks the casing? Expensive.

  • Knocking: Usually worn absorbers or lower arms. Replacing them restores safety and prevents uneven tyre wear.

2. Respect the Fluids (Especially CVT/ATF)

Fluid is the lifeblood of your transmission. In Malaysia's hot weather, oil degrades faster than the manual suggests. Resolution: Change your CVT/ATF fluid every 20,000km - 30,000km. Don't wait for 60k km. Fresh fluid is the cheapest insurance against a slipped belt or burnt clutch.

3. Check Your Undercarriage Before CNY
